I apologize for my period of silence. I have had a rather jam packed few weeks lately having been on holiday with family and friends followed by six days at Reading Festival – which was AMAZING thank you for asking. It was something else I can tell you. The atmosphere was incredible. All in all, there earliest I went to bed was 1:30 am and on the very last evening I questioned why people we leaving so early only to realise that it was in fact the next day and they were going to catch the 6 o’clock morning train; that blew my mind. From the whole experience, I have gathered loads of material such as dialogue that could help me in my own writing.
Regrettably, my aim to write every day has already fallen short since I haven’t written anything in a very long time. Only yesterday did I open up my 1st draft of chapter 2. That being said the long journeys I have taken have given my plenty of time to concoct some more ideas for stories and scenes. I also managed to finish The Grapes of Wrath which I’ll add to my reading list. It was a great read and something I would recommend to anyone who likes American Literature – I love it. On to A Farewell to Arms!
I have another idea for a short story blog post but I’m a little unsure whether to post if or not. I’ll write it first and see. Hopefully it won’t be so long till my next post.
What have you been up to in the past month? Is there anything you’ve learnt that could help you in your own writing endeavours? I’d love to know.
